On the occasion of the National Day of Romania and the 100th anniversary of the Union of 1918, in gratitude for the continuous support offered to Moldova, the buildings of a number of institutions of culture in Chisinau will be lit in the colors of Romania’s flags in the evening of December 1.
According to the Ministry of Education, Culture and Research, artistic illumination will be set up on the National Library, the National Museum of Arts, the National Museum of History, the National Theater “Mihai Eminescu” and the Academy of Music, Theater and Plastic Arts.
The Parliament Building will also be lit in the colors of the tricolor, at 5pm, IPN reports.
The cooperation in education, culture and research between Moldova and Romania in time resulted in the implementation of a number of projects, such as the repair and equipment of over 800 kindergartens, donation of about 200 school minibuses, rehabilitation of the building of the National Museum of Arts, restoration of the Organ Hall, construction of the new building of the Cahul-based Theater “Bogdan Petriceicu Hașdeu” and provision of scholarships to Moldovan young people.
