Inspections in forests will be stepped up during Easter holidays

The guarding and protection of forests and other green areas will be intensified for the period of the Easter holidays. Employees of the Forestry Service and the Forestry Guard will carry out raids. Those who will celebrate outdoors in green areas are asked to respect the anti-fire rules. The drivers are requested not to park the vehicles in forests or on grass, IPN reports.

According to a communiqué from the Forestry Agency “Moldsilva”, the fine for breaking the anti-fire rules in wooded areas varies between 200 and 400 lei. The parking of vehicles in forests, green areas outside the public roads and other banned places is punished with a fine of 100 to 200 lei, according to the Code of Administrative Offenses.
