The reports that the Republic of Moldova will become involved in the war in Ukraine are also false. The Republic of Moldova is a neutral state and will continue to act based on this constitutional principle. The authorities are taking all the measures for the security and safety of the Moldovan citizens not to be affected by the developments in the region, said the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration.

The General Police Inspectorate also denied a fake news item. It was reported that there were Ukrainian citizens and munitions in a vehicle with Moldovan license numbers. The Inspectorate noted that the vehicle was stopped on the road for checks, but no munitions or other suspect objects were found in this. The police were informed about this case by a filling station operator through the 112 Service.
