The number of cases of COVID-19 in Moldova exceeded 200,000 after a record number of daily infections was reported on March 11 – 1,896. There was also reported a record number of daily deaths from COVID-19 - 37, IPN reports.

As many as 5,341 tests were done on March 11. Of the new cases detected yesterday, 87 are among healthcare workers.

Of the 4,210 patients with COVID-19 who are receiving treatment at hospitals, 331 are in a very serious state and 68 of them were put on a ventilator.

A number of 11,848 persons with mild and moderate forms of COVID-19 are receiving treatment at home, while 18,028 are under supervision at home.

The death toll from COVID-19 now stands at 4,420. Among those who succumbed to the disease are 95 healthcare workers.
