A mass media census is taken in the Republic of Moldova for the first time in the last 10 years. This was commissioned by the Independent Journalism Center and covers over 500 media outlets, IPN reports.
By November 19, 26% of the 503 identified media outlets had taken part in the census. The organizers aim to find out the needs of the local mass media and how they can be satisfied.
The census questionnaire can be filled out by December 3 this year, while the results will be made public next January.
A similar study was carried out in 2006 and covered 420 media outlets.
