Victor Stepaniuc, Sergiu Iachim and Vasile Lupascu, independent candidates for MP seats, at a press conference today have called on all electoral competitors to sign a pact for the country's modernization titled “Pro-Moldova”. “We the independent candidates, considering the aggressive and irresponsible behavior of some party leaders, who have given themselves to political confrontations which threaten the country's political stability, are calling on the electoral competitors to sign the Pro-Moldova Pact as a national consensus convention for the purpose of Moldova's modernization”, the candidates said in a statement. According to the pact, all the political forces that will enter Parliament should give up to ideological, political and geopolitical battles and form a broad coalition government based on consensus and political dialogue. “The signing of this historic act will demonstrate to both the Moldovan citizens and the international community that Moldovan society is civilized, and its political class is mature, and deserves all the confidence for being able, for the sake of Moldova's modernization and its people's welfare, to put the national interests above the ideological ones”, said Victor Stepaniuc.
