He chose the constituency that covers the U.S. and Canada because during many years he studied, worked and lived in the United States and knows the problems faced by Moldovans who settled overseas. As an MP, he aims to do his best for the Moldovans to travel visa-free to the U.S. and Canada and for those who settled broad to be able to easier get a work permit. He will also plead for the Moldovans in the U.S. and Canada to retire here, in the Republic of Moldova, so that they have one more reason to return home, and for opening two more consulates in the U.S. and Canada. Another proposal he will promote is for those who will return home and will start businesses to be spared of taxes during the first five years.

He will do his utmost for medicine in the United States and Canada to become more accessible to Moldovans. “I will be that person who will represent our citizens with dignity,” he stated.

According to the candidate, the Moldovans leave Moldova because of the government. Many Moldovans are appreciated abroad, but they could have made a substantial contribution in their native country. When he became involved in politics, he realized that it is not easy to be a politician in the Republic of Moldova and one needs courage for the purpose. “The election campaign is not really honest. It is a real struggle. I call on all my opponents to realize that the elections come and go, but we should change things in our country,” said Gheorghi Grozav.
