Independence Day to be widely marked in Chisinau
The celebration of the Independence Day on August 27 in Chisinau will start with the laying of flowers and end with fireworks, Info-Prim Neo reports.
After flowers are laid at the monument to Stephan the Great and the monument to the heroes killed in the war for Moldova's independence, an artistic program will start in the Great National Assembly Square involving children's groups, military brass bands and the national folk dances ensemble “Joc”.
A performance by dance sport groups, circus artists, clowns, acrobats, magicians and other entertainers will start at 16.00.
The lovers of folk music can watch a concert by the orchestra “Mugurel”, while the lovers of jazz are invited to a concert by jazz bands and singers involving Stefan Petrache, “Univox”, and Cristi Teodorovici, starting at 17.45.
The evening concert with Arsenium, Natalia Gordienko, Adrian Ursu, Alexa, Dj Sava, Raluca, DavidDj, Alex/Smiley, and DjProject will end with fireworks at 22.00.
The recital of the band “Zdob si Zdub” will close the program of activities dedicated to the Independence Day.
