A platform for the processing of green waste was put into operation in the capital. The City Hall informs that the polygon has an area of 0.65 ha and is located in Botanica sector, on the territory of the Wastewater Treatment Plant, reports IPN.

On the polygon will be stored and processed the dried leaves and grass mowed in the growing season, and also the sawdust resulted in the process of pruning of trees.

The green waste will be processed to obtain organic compost by mixing it with the dehydrated sludge. The compost will be used for arranging flowerbeds in public spaces, as well as for planting trees in parks and squares.
