The Ministry of Internal Affairs and institutions in Romania created a mechanism for managing the flow of migrants. It goes to humanitarian corridors for transporting persons who are passing via the Republic of Moldova. For example, in Palanca village of Ștefan Vodă district, there was improvised a station in which there are eight buses at present. About 200 persons are being taken to Romania’s Huși where the people will be assisted by the Romanian authorities, IPN reports.

“The importance of provisional stations near border crossing points is huge. On the one hand, the pressure faced by the frontier posts is being diminished. On the other hand, we can efficiently manage the flow of foreigners in a coordinated way, including with other countries,” the chief of the General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations Alexandru Oprea stated in a press briefing.

A number of 56 routes were organized on Tuesday from the improvised station in Palanca. Over 2,000 persons were taken to eight destinations – five in Romania, one in Poland and the rest in Moldova.

Air corridors are also being organized. The first 56 refugees flied to Bulgaria on Tuesday. More flights to other destinations will be operated the next few days.

Over 259,000 Ukrainians and more than 30,000 citizens of other states entered Moldova since the war started in Ukraine on February 24. About 107,000 persons who came from Ukraine in the period stopped in Moldova.
