The companies importing raw material used to make products intended for export will not pay VAT and customs duties when the production and export processes will last for less than 180 days. Relevant regulations were approved by the government, IPN reports.
The provisions apply to the import of materials, accessories, primary containers and important complementary articles. According to Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy Valeriu Lazar, the decision is aimed at fluidizing the production of industrial goods in Moldova and at facilitating tax administration.
The executive also approved the regulations on the size and criteria for determining the costs incurred by employers for transporting, feeding and training employees. Under the document, the employers will not pay taxes on the amounts spent for the purpose. But this applies only to the companies that pay an average salary of at least three fourths of the official average monthly pay. The regulations limit the costs at 25 lei a day per employee for transport and at 35 lei a day for food.
