Implementation of reforms to be coordinated by special center

The Government instituted the Reform Implementation Center by a decision on January 18, IPN reports.

The Center will coordinate reforms at governmental level, assess the level of implementing these by public authorities and relevant bodies, cooperate with international institutions in transposing the best practices and attract foreign assistance.

The Reform Implementation Center will have the status of public institution and will be managed by an Administration Board and a director who will be named by the Board. Work on the Administration Board will not be remunerated.

The Center will also represent the Government in the relations with the public authorities and will draft public policies and legislative acts based on the reform process.

The State Chancellery, which drafted the Government decision, said similar bodies work in Albania, Romania, Ukraine, Serbia, Indonesia and other countries and proved their utility and efficiency there.
