The MPs of the Bloc of Communists and Socialists accuse the parliamentary majority of rejecting any legislative proposal formulated by them. The same is true about the proposal to constitute a commission of inquiry into the situation concerning vaccination against COVID-19 in Moldova, IPN reports.

“The COVID-19 situation went out of control. The government cannot manage the problem and therefore looks for those to blame and the authorities consider the citizens are to blame. They tell us that the persons under intensive care who hadn’t gotten a vaccine will not offered payment and this reminds us of the times of Plahotniuc, when those who paid were treated,” MP Vladimir Odnostalco, deputy head of the commission on social protection, health and family, told a press briefing.

According to him, over 40 persons die daily, but the government says that the situation is under control. Last weekend, the government initiated a PR campaign with trips to villages, where the people who were met were persuaded to get a vaccine on the spot, in insanitary conditions.

The MP reminded that under the previous government, over 150,000 persons got vaccinated voluntarily each month. Now the people oppose vaccination. The current government does not handle immunization. He criticized PAS’ refusal to accept a bill to provide a lump sum of 1,000 lei to pensioners and other recipients of social benefits with incomes lowers that 4,000 lei a month.

Vladimir Odnostalco noted the lump sum of 1,000 lei was paid by the Government when the Party of Socialists was in power, including last year, when the economy and budget revenues were seriously impacted by the pandemic crisis.
