The dialogue between the Moldovan authorities and the experts of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) was a constructive one and this will continue the coming days so that the Government, based on the diagnostic studies in the financial sector, continues the actions aimed at strengthening the state regulatory and surveillance authorities. These are the conclusions of a meeting of Prime Minister Pavel Filip and the IMF mission that concluded its working visit to Chisinau on February 29, IPN reports.
According to the Government’s press service, the Premier appreciated the visit by the IMF experts and expressed his confidence that the bilateral partnership framework will be built up. The sides discussed the macroeconomic developments, the existent vulnerabilities and the economic growth prospects.
The IMF experts informed about the results of the technical meetings with the public authorities, which centered on the sector policies, tendencies and assessments in the analyzed areas. In particular, there were highlighted the consultations on the draft state budget law and the draft budgetary-fiscal policies for 2016.
