The Consumer Protection Agency discovered illegal clauses in the contract on the administration of apartment buildings and intends to request that the Chisinau City Hall should annul the contract and modify it according to the legal requirements, IPN reports.

The Agency informs the consumers who already signed these contracts to ask the housing stock managers to annul them until they are brought in compliance with the law.

In order to avoid illegal clauses in the signed contracts, the Agency recommends the end-users to read the contract attentively and to always ask for details about the clauses that they do not understand.

A contract must contain complete and precise information about the object of the contract, the moment when it starts to have an effect and when it stops to have an effect, the rights and obligations of the sides, the price/tariff, commissions, interest or other taxes, penalties, damage, method of providing the service and provisions concerning the annulment of the contract.
