The last stage of Russia’s football championship, where seven Moldovan footballers play, took place on May 15. Three of them will no longer play in the top echelon the next season, IPN reports.
These are Alexandru Epureanu, Semion Bulgaru and Vitalie Bordian, whose teams Anji and, respectively, Volga were relegated. Ilie Cebanu may also play in the second league. His team Tom Tomsk is to meet Ufa in the playoffs.
In the last stage, striker Igor Picushchiac saved Amkar in the encounter with Krasnodar, managing to tie in the 64th minute. This was the third goal scored by Picushchiac this season. Alexandru Epureanu (Anji) scored two goals this season, while Alexandru Gatcan (Rostov) and Igor Armas (Kuban) – by one.
CSKA Moscow became Russia’s champion the second consecutive year.
