Ilian Casu: I voted for transparent City Hall

The deputy chairman of “Our Party” (PPPN) Ilian Casu said he voted for a transparent Chisinau City Hall that would work like the Balti mayor’s office. After casting his ballot in the referendum, Casu told the press that a transparent institution is a corruption-free institution, IPN reports.

Ilian Casu noted that he voted against the destruction of central parks and the large number of kiosks in the city and also against the disorder in kindergartens and the destruction of the historical center of Chisinau.

The deputy chairman of PPPN also said that the referendum is a democratic instrument by which the citizens can influence the developments in the country and the city, but particular parties attempted to make it look like being geopolitical in character. If the geopolitical element is not avoided, disorder will persist.

At 9:20pm, the voter turnout at the referendum on the dismissal of the mayor general of Chisinau municipality was 1.45%, which is over 9,000 electors.
