The leader of the Shor Party Ilan Shor tells Valeriu Munteanu, who is his opponent in single-member constituency Orhei, to give up running and sarcastically advises him to better become employed at an agricultural company that he intends to open in the kolkhoz “Commune of my dream” in Jora de Mijloc village.
In a press statement, Ilan Shor addresses Valeriu Munteanu in an informal way, calling him hypocritical and blaming him for the poverty witnessed in Moldova, which he caused together with his former party that has ruled since 2009. “Valeric, this is the result of the actions taken by your former mates and of your personal actions. But you surely will not admit this because you do not have scruples,” stated Ilan Shor. As to the electoral debates that are to be held, Ilan Shor said he has nothing to discuss with Valeriu Munteanu, noting this did nothing for his native village except for a road to his own home when he served as mayor of Floreni.
Ilan Shor reacted after the candidate for MP of the electoral bloc ACUM started his election campaign in Orhei. Valeriu Munteanu said he decided to run namely in Orhei because Ilan Shor, who was sentenced to 7 years and a half in jail for robbing the banking sector and who is a “porcelain” protégé of the PDM, also runs there. He noted he will compete in this very difficult election campaign with the feeling of responsibility towards the citizens of the Republic of Moldova, including those from Orhei, who were taken hostage by the ‘shining appearances’ of Ilan Shor’s activities as convicted mayor of Orhei municipality, IPN reports.
