The president of the Coalition for Unity and Welfare (CUB) Igor Munteanu proposed to the Government a set of actions for annihilating the separatist regime in Tiraspol and reintroducing the eastern districts into the constitutional space of the Republic of Moldova.
The CUB president formulated five conditions that are necessary and useful for the Moldovan authorities to reconsider their energy policy with regard to the left side of the Nistru. Igor Munteanu recommends abandoning the false narrative about the “humanitarian crisis” that is used by the separatists to emotionally blackmail the authorities in Chisinau. He considers the Moldovan government should impose democratic conditions on Tiraspol, such as the elimination of the military budget for the Transnistrian army, immediate liberalization of the right to association and free expression, release of political detainees convicted for criticism leveled at the regime, immediate withdrawal of the posts that block the free circulation and removal of the system used on the left side to jam TV channels and radio stations broadcast in the Republic of Moldova.
Igor Munteanu urges the Moldovan officials who more often refer to the “peace party”, but who should only promote the national interest to behave maximally prudently. The CUB president said Tiraspol is horrified by the loss of means that ensure its survival. If it is made to pay the real tariff for gas, the regime anticipates it will soon fail to meet the payments and the crisis will strike primarily the oligarchs and will dispute the stability of the alleged state construct.
The time is favorable for a change in Tiraspol, primarily if this opportunity is correctly exploited, said the president of the Coalition for Unity and Welfare (CUB) Igor Munteanu.
