Chisinau has a new-old deputy mayor. Igor Lupulciuc was reinstated in his post by a decision of the Supreme Court of Justice, Mayor of Chisinau Dorin Chirtoaca announced Monday, quoted by Info-Prim Neo. According to Igor Lupulciuc, Supreme Court of Justice passed judgment at the end of last November, but time was needed to collect all the necessary document. The reinstated deputy mayor said he had enough time to rest and is now ready to work. He said he prefers to think that the relations with the mayor general are not tense. For his part, Dorin Chirtoaca said the relations with Igor Lupulciuc are the way that the Supreme Court of Justice decided. The deputy mayor was discharged in 2008, when Mihai Moldovanu and Ion Arteni struggled for the post of Health Division head. Ion Arteni ordered that the lock of the door at the entrance to the Division and of the door of the head's office be changed. Dorin Chirtoaca said then that Igor Lupulciuc unjustifiably got involved in the conflict, taking Arteni's side. Before dismissed, Igor Lupulciuc was responsible for public amenities, repair of the apartment buildings and pipes, cleaning and laying out of the territory, development of the social sphere, social protection of the population and interethnic relations. Igor Lupulciuc's duties had been performed by Lilian Carp, the head of the Chisinau mayor's apparatus.
