The candidate nominated for Prime Minister Igor Grosu on March 23 is to make approaches to the Parliament’s Secretariat for being invited to present his team and his government program in Parliament. The information was confirmed for IPN by the head of the press service of the Party of Acton and Solidary Aurica Rusnac-Jardan.
According to the procedure, after the Secretariat is informed by the candidate for Prime Minister about his wish to appear before the MPs to present his team and the government program, the Parliament’s administration is to also be notified of this. The Standing Bureau takes note and decides the day when the candidate and his team will be invited to Parliament.
On March 22, the Constitutional Court ruled that the presidential decree by which Igor Grosu was nominated for premiership is constitutional. In accordance with the law, the nominated candidate has 15 days since the decree takes effect to create the governmental team and formulate a government program and to ask for a vote of confidence from Parliament.
After the CC presented its decision, Igor Grosu said the overcoming of the health crisis and the cleaning of state institutions would be the priorities of his Government.
