Igor Grosu: Party of Action and Solidarity will have a strong team in CMC

In the Chisinau Municipal Council, the Party of Action and Solidarity will have a stromg group of 20 municipal councilors who will struggle for a European city. In the country, the PAS mayors secured the people’s support for the European path in over 390 localities. 244 PAS mayors won by the first round of voting, while 153 will contend in runoffs, said PAS chairman Igor Grosu. “Europe won in most of the localities in Moldova. We now need to start work and to really bring the European living standards to our homes,” the politician stated in a press briefing.

He noted that the PAS holds the lead in 19 districts. Pro-European coalitions should be formed in as many districts and villages as possible so as to work together to ensure that all the Moldovans enjoy better living conditions.

Igor Grosu said the PAS had a difficult election campaign. Despite the unprecedented interference on the part of a foreign state, the PAS and the European teams of candidates obtained “the best score in the country”.

The 20 councilors on the Chisinau Musical Council will supervise all the actions in the City Hall, alongside civil society, and will not tolerate any decision that can undermine the European course. The councilors will vote and will propose good projects for the municipality.

The PAS leader noted that in two weeks, the pro-European voice should win in the 153 localities in which the PAS candidates will contend in mayoral runoffs. “Let’s unite, friends, and work for our nice towns and villages,” urged Igor Grosu.
