According to the Moldovan Parliament’s press service, Igor Grosu thanked the Romanian President for the constant support offered generously to the Moldovan citizens. “Large batches of equipment, tests, materials and medicines intended for the citizens of the Republic of Moldova, for fighting the COVID-19 pandemic; the over 500,000 vaccine doses donated by the Government of Romania; the 6,000 tonnes of diesel fuel offered in support for our farmers affected by drought,” said the Speaker.
While in Bucharest, Igor Grosu also met with the President of Romania’s Senate Anca Dragu. The interlocutors exchanged opinions on the political situation in the Republic of Moldova, the priorities of the newly elected Parliament and the strengthening of the partnership between the two states by join projects and actions.
Igor Grosu and Anca Dragu decided to immediately launch discussions between the standing commissions of the Parliaments of the two countries so as to agree a common action plan for achieving the strategic objectives for the citizens’ benefit.
In the meeting with the President of the Chamber of Deputies of Romania’s Parliament Ludovic Orban, Igor Grosu noted that the relations of friendship between the two states generate concrete benefits for the citizens and help us to further struggle for a better future. “We agreed to reanimate the relations at interparliamentary level in a number of areas and the meetings of my colleagues with the chairpersons of the analogous parliamentary commissions of the Chamber of Deputies are a first relevant proof. I’m sure that during our mandate, the relations between the two fundamental institutions will reach the highest level of cooperation since the declaring of our Independence,” stated Igor Grosu.
