The decision about the withdrawal of President-elect Igor Dodon from the Party of Socialists (PSRM) that he heads will be taken by the party’s congress. The PSRM’s communicator Carmena Lupei has told IPN that the congress will meet in December.

In an interview, Igor Dodon said he renounces the membership in the Party of Socialists. “And this means that President Dodon will no longer be party member and will not represent only one party or a part of the citizens of the Republic of Moldova,” stated the President elect.

Carmena Lupei said that in a meeting on November 18, the PSRM’s political council will decide when the party’s congress will convene.
