Political analyst Oazu Nantoi considers that the group of Socialists will vote in favor of Nicolae Timofti in the March 16 elections. Oazu Nantoi said that Igor Dodon’s plan to announce the decision of the Party of Socialists right before the elections is an image tactic. “Mister Dodon wants to attract maximum attention to the PSRM’s position. Consequently, all the video cameras and journalists will focus on him in the Parliament’s sitting tomorrow,” he stated. He also said that the PSRM needs time to strengthen its position and the presidential elections are the most suitable scenario that will favor the ruining of the Party of Communists. “In the open letter addressed to Mister Voronin, Igor Dodon presented the PSRM as a party of opposition to the alliance. If the PCRM denies the legality of the current Parliament and the procedure for electing the president, Mister Dodon said there are two possible ways – the legislature is dissolved or the President is elected. Igor Dodon tries to take a more constructive position, but in the opposition,” said the analyst.
