Igor Dodon will take a decision as to what seat to hold – of lawmaker or of Chisinau councilor - in 10 days. “I will make everything possible so that you do not have to wait for 30 days,” the Communist MP said on July 15, quoted by Info-Prim Neo. Asked by the press if the rumors that he intends to leave the Communist Party are true, Igor Dodon said there are persons who want him to defect. “I do not comment on rumors. Some people would like me to make them such a present. I now do not make presents so easy,” he stated. Igor Dodon tops the list of municipal councilors of the Communist Party. Under the law, the persons who entered the Chisinau Council and hold posts that are incompatible with the seat of councilor must decide what position they will preserve within 30 days. The Centru district court validated the seats of the municipal councilors on July 11. The Communist Party holds 26 seats, the Liberal Party – 17 seats, the Liberal Democratic Party – seven seats, while the Democratic Party – one seat.
