Igor Dodon will join Party of Socialists
Igor Dodon, who recently left the Communist parliamentary group together with Zinaida Greceanyi and Veronica Abramchuk, announced that most probably he will join the Party of Socialists of Moldova, Info-Prim Neo reports.
“I will not form part of one of the parties of the ruling alliance. It was rumored that I intended to join the Democrats. I will not accept posts in Parliament and the Government. Most probably, I will join the Party of Socialists of Moldova the coming days. This party promotes the same values as we do. I call on all those who are ready to follow me to join this party,” Igor Dodon said in the program “Fabrica” on Publika TV.
He stressed that he respects this party’s co-chairman Victor Stepaniuc and is grateful to him for inviting him to join the party. He said he himself invites all those who want to form a coalition with the Socialists.
Veronica Abramchuk had held the post of co-chairwoman of the Party of Socialists for a period.
