Igor Dodon to PSRM: Don’t hurry to form a coalition with PDM

“I think the parties are those that should decide if they form a coalition or not. But my advice to the Socialists is not to hurry up. They should first see what’s going on inside the Democratic Party and if this is reformed or not,” said President Igor Dodon, answering the question “Would you form a coalition with the Democrats?”, IPN reports.

In a new edition of the program “President Responds”, President Dodon said the PDM has different MPs and some of them make statements with which he does not agree. “Let’s wait a little and see what the Democrats do further. There is cooperation. They support the Government and the initiatives as a large part of the Government’s initiatives are those that were promoted by them. I think namely for these reasons they support the Chicu Government,” stated Igor Dodon.

He noted that he has a dialogue with representatives of the PDM at least once a week. Igor Dodon addressed the former alliance mates, saying they should not destroy bridges as it is not known what can happen during the next few months. “Everything is possible in politics. Don’t exclude the return, at a particular stage, to the negotiating table, including the possible formation of a parliamentary majority,” he stated.
