Incumbent President Igor Dodon will make an address to the citizens of the Republic of Moldova in the first half of December 23. Igor Dodon informed about this after the December 21 meeting of senior state officials, IPN reports.
The official said the Parliament’s Standing Bureau will come together for a meeting today, at 2pm. It will decide the hour at which the legislative body will hold two special sittings. Parliament will have a special sitting in the afternoon of December 23 to discuss the motion of no confidence against the Chicu Government that was tabled by 34 MPs last week. Another special sitting will take place on December 24, when President-elect Maia Sandu will be inaugurated.
Igor Dodon also said that he promulgated most of the laws that were adopted by Parliament last week. In several hours, he is to receive the state budget law and the fiscal policy that he will promulgate later today.
