The leader of the Party of Socialists Igor Dodon transmitted a message to the ruling parties – to admit defeat in the local elections and to dissolve Parliament. “You will not manage to keep the situation under control. You already lost the local elections and the early parliamentary elections too. That’s why you should not oppose. Without you, the country and the people will feel better,” the Socialist leader said in a news conference on June 9, IPN reports.

According to Igor Dodon, the current government could dismiss the Prime Minister, but there are no chances to improve the situation until the country is ruled by oligarchs.

He also made a call to the members of the Central Election Commission. “Don’t play with fire. We will monitor the situation in parallel. You are wrong if you think you will manage to do what you did four years ago, when you made Plahotniuc’s servant winner. You are wrong if you think we will stand aside if we see such scenarios,” stated Dodon.

The Socialist leader also said that on June 14, on the day of the local general elections, all the country’s people have a unique chance to remove the oligarchic government, ensuring thus a change for the better, for Moldova’s future. He called on the people to forget about the political, geopolitical, ideological and other kinds of struggles for a period and to make a correct choice so as to save the country.
