The ruling alliance will soon remain without a parliamentary majority, while the Strelet Government will resist for only several weeks more, the chairman of the Party of Socialists (PSRM) Igor Dodon said in the program “Friday with Anatolie Golea” on RTR Moldova channel, IPN reports.
Dodon stated that he has nothing to do with the defection of some of the MPs from the ruling alliance as Renato Usatyi is dealing with this. He announced that a provisional government could be installed after the Stelet Government falls. “We will install a technocratic government that will work for three-four months until the new Government is formed following early elections. The current government must leave, but the country cannot remain without administration,” he said.
Igor Dodon noted that he supports activist Grigore Petrenco and other persons who were placed under arrest. “I told these men not to hurry to become involved in the September 6 protest and to be attentive. But they have their party. We will anyway help them and will do everything possible for them to be released,” he said.
The Socialists’ leader also said that he will use the Parliament’s rostrum to impose the resignation of the Strelet Government. “In the future sitting of Parliament, we will submit a censure motion. I’m sure that MPs from other parties will vote together with us,” he stated.
