President Igor Dodon congratulated the entire Romanian people, conveying "good wishes, peace and progress", on the occasion of the National Day of Romania. The head of state expressed gratitude for the Romanian financial assistance, offered on a basis of non-reimbursable bilateral agreements.

According to Igor Dodon, Romania is Moldova’s number one trading partner and the main market for the sale of Moldovan wines.

He repeatedly congratulated the President of Romania, Klaus Iohannis, on the occasion of his victory in the elections, inviting him to visit the Republic of Moldova.
