Igor Dodon promises decent living conditions, workplaces and concessions to young people

The Communist Party’s candidate for mayor of Chisinau Igor Dodon promises the young a better life. The activities intended for young people from his electoral program were presented on Thursday at the back of the Center for Children and Youth “Artico”, where a building is erected illegally, according to the PCRM, Info-Prim Neo reports. “The young people will ensure the country’s welfare. We will make everything possible for the young persons in the municipality of Chisinau to be confident in tomorrow,” Igor Dodon said, adding that the platform of the Communist team provides numerous concessions and support to the youth. The PCRM’s team aims to launch a municipal program to assist the young persons in starting their own businesses by providing preferential lending and guaranteeing mechanisms. The beneficiaries of the program will be helped by the municipal authorities to launch and develop a business according to the model applied in the country’s districts in 2008. At least 50,000 workplaces will be created in the municipality during four years. There will be established partnerships between education institutions and businesses so as to prepare and employ specialists in the municipal organizations and the private sector. A municipal program will be initiated to construct apartments accessible to all the residents of Chisinau, mainly young families and budget-funded employees. A lump-sum allowance of 5,000 lei will be given from municipal resources at the birth of children. This allowance will be yearly adjusted to the rate of inflation. A municipal fund will be created to help the socially-underprivileged persons and families pay for the public utilities. There will be renovated the municipal kindergartens, including those from suburban settlements. As to the building constructed behind the Center “Artico”, Igor Dodon said he will not allow illegal constructions. “We tried to establish who allowed erecting this building on a plot that is intended for young people, but did not manage to. The Government blames the City Hall and vice versa,” Igor Dodon said. He also said that there will be laid out the recreational areas in Valea Morilor Park and in Vadul-lui-Voda town, the lakes Ghidighici, Sculeni and Valea Trandafirilor. Igor Dodon also intends to build an open-air movie theater and restore and develop the infrastructure of the municipal movie theaters, including by attracting private investments. There will be set up new clubs and creation centers for children and youth. Cultural, artistic and sports activities will be organized in squares on the weekend. In the ballots for the mayor, Igor Dodon is under No. 6, while in the ballots for Chisinau councilors, the PCRM is under No. 1. The order was decided by draw.
