President of Moldova Igor Dodon presented his team on December 26. He told the press that a number of decrees signed by him take effect today. These institute the post of adviser on diaspora relations and rename the posts of other presidential advisers, IPN reports.
Ruslan Flocea was named secretary general of the President’s staff. Ion Ceban was appointed as adviser on political affairs and the President’s spokesman. Maxim Lebedinski became adviser on legal affairs and institutional relations and the President’s representative in the relations with the Government and Parliament. Elena Gorelova will serve as adviser on economic matters, Corneliu Popovici as adviser on education, culture and research, Ion Perju as adviser on agro-industrial and public administration matters, while Vasile Sova as adviser on reintegration. Andrei Neguta was named adviser on foreign policy.
The advisers on defense and national security, social development and relations with the diaspora are yet to be appointed. “I think the diaspora should be represented in the President’s team. That’s why I invite those who are ready to work on the presidential team to submit CVs,” stated Igor Dodon.
He also said that at 12 noon he meets with Prime Minister Pavel Filip to confer on the immediate actions. A number of working meetings of the Government and representatives of state institutions will be held this week to discuss problems faced in the banking, economic and commercial sectors and the pension system.
