Details of the visit were discussed by Igor Dodon and the deputy head of the Russian Presidential Administration Dmitry Kozak, IPN reports.
“We discussed a number of subjects concerning the bilateral relations between our states. The Russian side thanked for the efforts I made during my term in office, aimed at strengthening the strategic partnership between the Republic of Moldova and the Russian Federation. In particular, Dmitry Kozak noted that owing to my efforts, in April 2017 Moldova signed a memorandum of cooperation with the Eurasian Economic Union, while in May 2018 it became the first country with the status of observer to the EAEU,” Igor Dodon posted on Facebook.
The incumbent President also said that he thanked Dmitry Kozak and the current Russian Presidential Administration for the multilateral support provided to the Republic of Moldova, including for resuming exports and extending the categories of national agricultural products exported to Russia, and for the assistance offered in fighting the COVID-19 pandemic and the financial support provided to the farmers affected by drought.
