Igor Dodon, the president of the Party of Socialists that forms part of the Electoral Bloc of the Communists and the Socialists, said the Bloc will achieve a rather good result in the election campaign, but it is too early to say if a party will gain a majority of seats of MP, IPN reports.
In a press briefing after the polling places were closed, the Socialist leader thanked the citizens who voted for being active both inside the country and outside it. He voiced hope that the election outcome will be validated swiftly and a new stage in the development of the Republic of Moldova will start tomorrow.
He called on the future MPs not to allow other political crises. “Yes, we can have a Parliament with two, maximum three parties as far as we see, but we should not allow other political crises. We need a period of stability,” stated the Socialist leader.
