One month after the presidential elections, the Constitutional Court validated the results of the presidential elections and confirmed the legal vote of the majority of people, said President Igor Dodon, noting that his political opponents extended to a maximum the validation of his term in office, IPN reports.

“This was done on purpose so that the government managed to promote particular anti-popular reforms such as the appointment of the prosecutor general, opening of the NATO Office, the pension reform and others,” Igor Dodon stated in a press briefing.

The President-elect said he will contact the Speaker of Parliament, Prime Minister and President of the Constitutional Court to demand that the day of his installment should be arranged as soon as possible. This is to happen until December 28.

On December 13, the Constitutional Court validated the mandate of President Igor Dodon, holding there are no reasons to nullify the elections.
