President Igor Dodon signed a decree to fire Eduard Grama from the post of minister of agriculture and food industry. In a posting on Facebook, the Head of State says he is ready to daily sign decrees to dismiss dignitaries of the current government, IPN reports.
“I signed the decree to discharge Eduard Grama from the post of minister. I expect that most such initiatives will follow soon. In the government, there are yet many corrupt dignitaries. I will sign dismissal decrees for any member of the Filip Government. Technocratic people and real professionals should be promoted to posts, who would not be chosen according to political criteria,” said Igor Dodon.
Minister Eduard Grama was arrested on corruption charges on March 15. He is currently under house arrest.
There are now three vacancies of minister in the Filip Government, namely of defense, of information and communication technology and of agriculture and food industry.
