President Igor Dodon is planning a meeting with the leader of the Transnistrian region, Vadim Krasnoselski, at the end of October. The head of state examined together with the Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration, Vasilii Șova, the topics which will be discussed with the Transnistrian leader.
"I examined in detail the topics that I will discuss with the leader of the Transnistrian region, Vadim Krasnoselski, at the meeting scheduled for October 29", said Igor Dodon. The head of state did not specify what topics will be discussed nor where will the meeting with the leader from Tiraspol take place.
During the meeting with the deputy prime minister, the president also discussed the issues set out in the draft Protocol on the "5 + 2" meeting balance sheet, which took place in Bratislava on October 8 and 9. "Separately, we have addressed the topic of resuming the activity of the Mechanism of position coordination on the settlement of the Transnistrian dispute. I pointed out the positive trends in the activity of this Mechanism, which includes representatives of all government structures", said Igor Dodon in a Facebook post.
The head of state also addressed topics related to the preparations for the conference in Bavaria dedicated to Transnistrian issues, which will take place in early November.
