If a Government is invested, elections this autumn will not be held, the president of the Party of Socialists Igor Dodon stated in his online program in which he answers questions put by citizens and journalists, IPN reports.
“If the Government we proposed, led by Missis Durleșteanu, is invested or if a Government supported by another parliamentary majority is invested [...] I understood that a Government supported by four parties – the PAS, PPPDA, PSRM, and PDM – is now being discussed. That’s why, if a Government is invested, snap elections will not be held. In the best case, elections will take place next March or April or in 2023 already,” said Igor Dodon.
Asked to state his opinion about Andrei Năstase as a potential candidate for Prime Minister, Igor Dodon said Năstase should first see what support he enjoys inside his party and should then ask for support from the other parties by discussing with them, not by making statements on TV.
