President of Moldova Igor Dodon, after marking his ballot, said he made his choice in favor of a professional. He expressed his firm conviction that the citizens of Chisinau municipality will ultimately make a correct choice and will vote for professionalism, IPN reports.
Igor Dodon said today’s ballot is a very important one. He called on the residents of Chisinau to go and vote, noting he trusts the people’s choice and a new stage for the capital city should start today.
The voter turnout in Chisinau municipality at 12 noon was over 14%, which is about 90,000 persons cast their ballots. There is no minimum turnout of voters required for the runoff vote. The candidate who gains the largest number of votes emerges victorious.
