Dragutanu’s resignation endangers the coming negotiations with the IMF and he could have been forced to leave because of this or he resigned in order to avoid responsibility, the leader of the Party of Socialists (PSRM) Igor Dodon said in the talk show “Politics” on TV 7 channel, IPN reports.
“Dragutanu’s resignation was planned long ago. He could have resigned in order to avoid providing explanations to Parliament about the large thefts committed in the banking system. But the fact that Dragutanu resigned does not free him from responsibility,” stated the Socialist leader.
Igor Dodon considers the governor’s resignation endangers the future negotiations with the IMF. “Dragutanu tendered his resignation before the arrival of the IMF mission in Chisinau. I think this is not accidental. The IMF could refuse to sign a new financing agreement because of this,” he stated.
The leader of the PSRM noted that Dragutanu’s dismissal will not save the country and the whole senior administration should resign. The party will mount nonstop protests to demand this. “We will put up tents in front of the Parliament Building and will stay there until early elections are announced. Only this way will we get rid of the oligarchic system. We ordered a lot of tents. We invite the representatives of our parties to join us, but without party flags and slogans,” he said.
