45.8% of the voters in Chisinau municipality would vote for the Communist Party's candidate Igor Dodon. Current mayor Dorin Chirtoaca, the Liberal Party's candidate, would poll 43.1% of the vote . If the second round of voting took place, the results would be much the same and Igor Dodon would win the elections, shows an opinion poll conducted by the Scientific Research Laboratory “Sociology of Politics”, Info-Prim Neo reports. Victor Ciobanu, director of the marketing agency Media For Grup, who presented the poll on May 30, said the Democratic Party's candidate Valentina Buliga would win 4.7% of the vote in the first round, while independent candidate Mihai Godea – 1.8%. According to the poll, 47.9% of the respondents trust Igor Dodon the most, while 44.8% - Dorin Chirtoaca. In the election of Chisinau councilors, 35% of the respondents would vote for the Communist Party, 27.5% for the Liberal Party, 7.5% for the Liberal Democratic Party, while 4.5% for the Democratic Party. The undecided persons represent 21% of the voters. Victor Ciobanu said the poll was financed by a group of persons who are not politicians.
