Igor Dodon: Dmitry Rogozin confirmed his visit to Chisinau

President Igor Dodon on July 28 will meet with the Deputy Prime Minister of Russia Dmitry Rogozin, who confirmed his visit to Chisinau, according to the Head of State. The next day, President Dodon will have a meeting with the Transnistrian leader Vadim Krasnoselskii. Igor Dodon made the announcements in a dialogue with the press at the Residence in Condrita on July 26, IPN reports.

The President said the bilateral meeting with the Russian Deputy Prime Minister will take place in the second half of the day. The discussions will focus on such subjects as trade, the next steps in obtaining the amnestying of Moldovans in Russia, recognition of Transnistrian license numbers and diplomas, problems related to mobile telephony in Transnistria, etc.

Igor Dodon noted that there was scheduled a trilateral meeting with the Transnistrian leader in Tiraspol and the participation, together with Dmitry Rogozin, in the events to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the start of the peacekeeping operation in Moldova’s Transnistrian region.

In the same connection, President Dodon said he invited his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin to discuss the Moldovan-Russian relations in Chisinau, this being expected to pay a visit to Moldova in 2018.

He also said that since the start of this year he has made 12 official and working visits abroad and will pay seven more visits to other states, including Iran, to take part in the inauguration of the President, to Vatican to have a meeting with the Pope of Rome, and to Russia.
