Igor Dodon congratulated by Vladimir Putin: jubilee message delivered by Russia’s Designated Ambassador

The President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin, has congratulated the President of the Party of Socialists and former head of state, Igor Dodon, who is celebrating his 50th birthday today. The congratulatory message was handed over by Russia’s designated ambassador to Moldova, Oleg Ozerov, reports IPN, citing a press release from the PSRM.

"You are deservedly respected as a responsible politician and a courageous person, capable of making well-thought-out and far-sighted decisions even in the most difficult situations. In Russia, you are known as a firm and consistent supporter of developing friendly and constructive relations between our countries. I sincerely wish you good health, prosperity, and success in your work for the benefit of the Moldovan people," Vladimir Putin wrote in his message to Igor Dodon.

Igor Dodon is known for his pro-Russian political views, having never condemned Russia's aggression in Ukraine or the falling of drones on Moldovan territory during the war in the neighboring country.
