President Igor Dodon criticizes the derogatory statements against him and the Socialist Party made by some partners in the ruling coalition. The head of state says that this issue is not being discussed now because we are in the election campaign, but after the elections he will address this subject in a direct manner with the partners from the ACUM bloc, and with some who are making attacks on the Socialists he will not sit at the table of discussions. The statement was made in a special edition on Moldova 1 public television station, IPN reports.

"The first problem for the continuation of the majority coalition is behavior. And we have to draw the line after the ballot. I do not want that now because we are still in the election period, but after the elections there will be very serious discussions. With some people we will no longer sit at the same table. That's what I can tell you for sure, "stressed the head of state.

Another issue within the ruling coalition is the efficiency of some ministries, says Igor Dodon. "We will demand a reset, I and my colleagues from the Socialist Party. And the third very important thing is to support the social initiatives that we have put forward and that the Government does not want to support yet,” the head of state mentioned.

Igor Dodon has given as an example the initiative to index the pensions twice a year, which the Government claims is not supported by the external partners. "And if we do not find consensus on one of these three points, then it will be difficult to go further together," the president continued.

At the same time, Igor Dodon says that the Socialists will not second the censorship motion that the Democratic Party group made in Parliament. "Next week the PSRM colleagues will convene the Republican Council of the party, we must tally up the election results and see how we move forward, we will discuss these topics in detail and propose them for discussions with those who are still our partners, as some of them are no longer partners, and we will see what to do further. We do not intend to play anyone's game and vote Government resignation motions at someone's initiative. If we decide not to support the Government, it will be a different matter,” the head of state specified.

Igor Dodon argues that if the current governing coalition breaks down, the Socialists will no longer make up a majority with anyone and will advocate early parliamentary elections.
