Igor Dobrovolski resumes training work. The former coach of the national football team of Moldova will now coach Sahalin, which ranks 16th in the second league of Russia. His objective is to save the team from southeastern Russia from relegation, IPN reports.
“I will first become acquainted with the players and will then start work,” Igor Dobrovolski stated for the official website of Sahalin, which is the fifth team that he will coach. Earlier, he trained Tiligul, Dacia, Veris and the national squad of Moldova.
As a footballer, he achieved remarkable results. In 1988 he became Olympic champion with the team of the Soviet Union, while in 1993 he won the European Champions Cup together with Olympique Marseille. In 1990 Dobrovolski was named the best footballer of the Soviet Union. He started his career of player at Nistru Chisinau.
