Head of Parliament Igor Corman called upon the local public authorities to carry out an extensive campaign to inform the people about the advantageous of the European integration. The call was made during a working visit to Rezina district, IPN reports, quoting a communiqué from Parliament.
Igor Corman considers the local public administrations (PLAs) should explain to the people that they will be able to access European funds intended to support agriculture and rural development. These funds will enable the local producers to provide goods of a high quality.
“The association with the EU will help us develop the economy, attract foreign investors and improve the living standards. As Head of Parliament, I aim to organize public debates centering on the European agenda. They will involve EU ambassadors so that they comprehensively inform the people,” said Igor Corman.
He announced that next week he will pay a visit to Brussels to discuss Moldova’s European agenda with EU officials. According to the Speaker, the dialogue is needed for ensuring the European Parliament’s decision to abolish the visa regime for Moldovans in summer.
