Igor Corman: Modern and civilized country cannot exist without science

Moldova took an important step towards the integration of its scientific community into the European one. A modern and civilized country cannot exist without science, research and innovation. From now on, Chisinau will also take part in the construction of the scientific map of the European Union, Head of Parliament Igor Corman said in the Researchers’ Night event that was organized under his patronage, IPN reports.

The organizers prepared a rich program of activities to promote science and to present the newest accomplishments in the field, including exhibitions of scientific equipment, contests, experiments and workshops. There was opened the underground passage “Chisinau – European City”.

The Researchers’ Night in Moldova was held under the aegis of the Academy of Sciences of Moldova, the Center of International Projects and the Logistics Agency “Age Quod Agis”.

The event takes place annually on September 27 in about 350 European cities.
