Igor Corman goes to Vilnius

Head of Parliament Igor Corman will pay a visit to Vilnius on November 28. He will take part in the meeting of chairmen of parliamentary commissions on foreign policy of the EU member states and of the member states of the Parliamentary Forum for Democracy, IPN reports.

According to a communiqué of the Parliament’s press service, the event is held under the aegis of the Lithuanian EU presidency, on the sidelines of the Eastern Partnership Summit of Vilnius.

MPs of the EU member states, MEPs, representatives of the countries of the Eastern Partnership and of the Parliamentary Forum for Democracy will discuss the evolution of the democratic institutions and the progress made by the states with democracies in transition.

Igor Corman will speak about the results achieved by Moldova on the path to European integration and the implementation of the European agenda in the immediate period. After he will deliver the speech, the Speaker will hold a pres briefing.

The meeting will be also attended by MPs Ion Hadarca, who is the co-founder of the Parliamentary Forum for Democracy, and Ana Gutu, who heads the commission on foreign policy and European integration of the Moldovan Parliament.
